A Message from OMIA President
One thing we have always known is Mutuals give back.
We see it in the pages of our newsletters, annual reports, and social media feeds. We recognize it in the service our members give to their policyholders, and the relationships they build in communities over generations. Mutuals were built in the small communities that dot this province, and they continue to thrive because of their connection to what matters - people.
Capturing the Year
One of our goals at the Ontario Mutual Insurance Association is to champion the great work of our member mutual insurance companies. They make it easy. Mutuals are an important part of maintaining a fair and equitable insurance landscape in our country. They offer a unique and people-focused way of doing business; not with shareholders and unchecked growth, but with a cooperative frame of mind that puts policyholders first.
Giving back to community is central to the model of mutuality, and we’re grateful to our member-mutuals and partner companies for contributing to this impact report. This is a first for us, and a way to illustrate the impact our community makes each year, as always, together.

The Power Of Volunteerism
Behind every dollar donated is a person who showed up. Behind every organization supported is an employee who laced up boots, stepped onto a rink, stirred a soup pot, or planted a tree.
This year, our Mutual Members logged 6,609 volunteer hours. That’s not just a number in a spreadsheet; that represents...

That is
full days of volunteering
full calendar year of giving
full-time employees dedicated entirely to community service

Thank you,
Participating Companies: Thank you for trusting us with your community investment. Your generosity made each part of this report possible.
Volunteers: Whether you coached a team, served a meal, or planted a tree, you showed up. Again and again. Thank you for all your hard work!
The 975+ organizations supported: Keep doing the amazing work you do. You make our communities stronger every day with your dedication.
Together, we turned $5.2M and 6,609 hours into something that we can all be proud to have achieved.
This is the Mutual Difference.
